Michael joins SES after extensive heath and safety experience in the UK and continental Europe . Most recently he held a key Field Safety role with Air Products plc, the multi-national US based gases and chemicals company, before which he was with a Swedish industrial gas manufacturer. Previously he had worked in Quality Assurance for Triplex Safety Glass in Birmingham .
Complementing his specialist knowledge of industrial gases and related safety issues, Michael is also a qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) and competent to give advice on all aspects of the ADR and UK Carriage Regulations regarding the transportation of dangerous goods by road.
SES provides health and safety consultancy and training to organisations throughout the West Midlands and beyond, in sectors which include engineering, education, housing provision, power and retail. It provides audits, risk assessments, accident investigation and reporting, advice on dealing with the Health & Safety Executive and other bodies, and advice in dealing with legal issues. It also offers a comprehensive spectrum of training.
EEF has a prominent role in the national development of health and safety strategy. It recently reached a groundbreaking stakeholder agreement with the Health and Safety Executive to help promote best practice across the manufacturing and engineering sectors.
